Arbitration Proceedings
Naturally, disputes often arise between employers and employees, particularly in connection with questions of remuneration for service inventions.
To amicably settle such disputes, the Employee Inventions Act envisages arbitration proceedings. The Arbitration Board is located at the German Patents and Trademark Office. The procedure is an official two-sided procedure that must be carried out before one party can file a suit. The advantages of the procedure, apart from being free of charge and confidential, are the great experience of the Arbitration Board.
